YESCARE EMPLOYEE ARRESTED ON CONTRABAND CHARGES AT VENTRESS

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On Sunday, March 1, 2026, an incident of promoting prison contraband was reported at Ventress Correctional Facility. At approximately 7:00 a.m., YesCare employee Megan Yvonne Wheeler was caught concealing contraband. Upon investigation, it was discovered that there was additional contraband at her residence. Agents conducted a search of her residence in Troy and confiscated:

472 g methamphetamine
130 g fentanyl
612 g flakka
320 hydrocodone/oxycodone pills
60 Xanax bars

Wheeler was transported to the Barbour County Jail and charged with four counts of Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd. She has resigned her position with YesCare.
