CORRECTIONAL OFFICER ARRESTED ON CONTRABAND CHARGES AT KILBY

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On Saturday, February 28, 2026, an incident of promoting prison contraband was reported at Kilby Correctional Facility. At approximately 2:00 p.m., Correctional Officer Shelley Sharpe was caught concealing contraband. The following contraband was confiscated:

Sharpe was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st and Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd. He has resigned his position with ADOC.
