MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) confirms that escaped inmate Tandion Markeeice Stoudemire has been recaptured. An inmate escape report was issued on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Stoudemire, 21 years old, is an inmate at Staton Correctional Facility. He is serving a 23-year sentence for Attempted Murder out of Montgomery County.
On Friday, May 26, 2023, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Law Enforcement Services Division of ADOC, assisted by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) and Central Alabama Crimestoppers located and arrested Stoudemire in the 3900 block of Woodley Road in Montgomery. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with Escape I out of Elmore County.
Stoudemire was returned to Kilby Correctional Facility for processing. He is pictured during transport to Kilby CF.
Civilian Acacia Laraea Stallworth was arrested on Thursday, May 25, 2023 and charged with Facilitating Escape I. She has been released on bond.

This recapture is a perfect example of how law enforcement agencies work together to ensure public safety. I am extremely proud of the response from our correctional officers, LESD team, and the U.S. Marshals Service GCRFTF in the recapture of inmate Stoudemire.
