Stan Goolsby, Deputy Commissioner

Stan Goolsby comes to the ADOC as the Deputy Commissioner of Administrative Services after over 20 years of service with the State of Alabama. Goolsby began his career with the state in May of 2000 as an analyst with the State Personnel Department. In 2007, he was appointed to serve as the Human Resources Director at the Alabama Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Board. In 2014, he left ABC to work as the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) Human Resources Director, taking on the complexities associated with the creation of ALEA. In 2021, Goolsby was selected to serve as the Director of ALEA’s Administrative Bureau, comprised of various divisions where employees provide critical services to ALEA employees and Alabamians.

Goolsby earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Finance from Auburn University in 1999.
