Jo Wood, Chief Financial Officer

Jo Wood serves the ADOC as Chief Financial Officer. She has more than 18 years of accounting, accounting management, and financial services, and advisory experience in state government. She is a Certified Government Financial Manager and a Certified Public Manager and serves on the board of directors for the Government Finance Officers Association of Alabama and the Alabama Council on Crime and Delinquency.

Wood earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Business Administration Accounting from Auburn University at Montgomery. She began her career as an accountant with the Alabama Department of Revenue in 2002. In 2011, she accepted a position with the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles as an Accounting Manager. She was promoted to Chief Financial Officer there in 2013, where she remained until joining the ADOC team.
